I can't wait to get back to some load work, not necessarily the shooting as it has breached 95º. After working part of the day in it, it is hard to get back out into it. My hound is spending more time in the room than I as of late. He goes in at 10 pm and back out at 6 am. Durn critter won't pick up or sort anything the whole time.

I need to cast my TLC378-250-RF, I want to powder coat them, for my JES Rossi Rio Grande 38-55 Win.

Just started load development for my Marlin 375. At this point, I've loaded test cartridges for the Sierra 200g FN with H322....incremental charges 39.0g - 42.0g. 375 Winchester brass. Winchester primer. COL = 2.530".

I haven't shot it yet, but hope to sometime later this week.

I bought this rifle (new) a long time ago and haven't even shot it. So, I'm kind of excited to start shooting it. I'd like to use it for deer season this fall....give the 444 a rest :D :D

If anyone has any favorite loads for the 375 Win that they would like to share, I would appreciate it.

Glad to hear that the rifle is going to get out. All I have shot is cast bullets so I'm no help.

Michael,

I have your "Ranch Dog's TLC379-235-RF" mold still new-in-box. I need to re-up my casting gear that was put in storage when I was refurbishing my reloading room. Just need to get it done.....

Best,
Dan

38-55

I think I mentioned in a earlier post the trouble I had using the Mo Bullet Hytech coated .379 bullet in WW cases. They work fine in Starline cases but in the Winchesters they expand the case mouth too much to chamber. So I picked up a .377 die for my Lyman 450 lubrisizer and squashed the bullets down to .377. Loaded over H4198 they cycle fine in the Marlin and are awaiting tomorrow for a outdoor range trip. I hope to run the two case brands and the smaller diameter bullets side by side to see what the MagnetoSpeed and the target have to say. More later.

I loaded a few 30-30 win cast 180's with AA#7 and Unique this afternoon. Really getting attached to shooting cast bullets with pistol powders in the 30-30.
