Eugene .... that's just about exactly what I started re-loading with in early 2011! I had a buddy, turned out to be my mentor (until he died two years later), that had been trying to get me to start re-loading for 10-15 years. I finally let him talk me into buying the Lee Classic Loader for 38/357 when I bought a Ruger SP-101 in late 2010 that was the total hook. At the same time I bought the Classic Loader for the 9mm as well. I realized there was a lot to learn and understand about every step and knew that the Classic Loader was the perfect set of tools to "force" the learning - decided to make myself use the Classic Loaders for one full year before progressing to the Hand Press and standard dies. The hand press was to be used for one year before moving on to a bench mounted Single Stage, then Turret, then Progressive .....

I did retire the Classic Loaders in early 2012 and moved to the Hand Press ..... it's 2019 and I'm still there with the Hand Press and still as tickled with it as I was in 2012. Considering the cartridges I load for - .38 spl, .357 mag, 9mm, .45 acp, .44 mag, 30-30 win - the old Breech Lock Hand Press still handles the needs. And I do something with the hand press, even if it's just de-priming or processing some brass, at least once a week. There are times I would like to build a "real" bench for a bit more sturdy single stage press, but for the time being I'm still happy with what I've got.

Welcome to the forum.
