Re: 270 won't fit into sizing die
Another simple question, is the die adjusted correctly? Again, I would remove the Ez-X-Expander until I could rule out the die itself.
Lee Precision Instructions wrote:[With the ram fully raised.] Screw the full length sizer in until it touches the shell holder. Then lower the ram and screw the die in 1/4 to 1/3 turn more.

I do not find that the Lee lube works that well.

Re: 270 won't fit into sizing die
I would back your sizing die out to no more than an 1/8th turn more than touching the shell holder. Just added stress to the press. Also with the die that deep and the decapping pin 1/4 inch or more sticking out of the die, it is possible that the end of the rod holding said pin is contacting the bottom of the case on the inside. Rare occurrence but can happen. I've used Lee sizing lube and it worked alright, not the best but it worked. Just make sure of a good "coat". I like RD's idea of just removing the decapping pin entirely as the first step.

Re: 270 won't fit into sizing die
If the pin is too far proud of the die it will slide up. That is a feature of the Lee dies. I have had it happen on crimped primers on several occasions. As far as Lee lube I have used it for resizing both 30-06 and 270 to 8mm Mauser without any problems. I suspect something more basic here. I agree RD's suggestion is the most logical step.

When used properly the Lee lube works better than anything else I've tried. Is the die body marked?

New doesn't mean correct. I'd look and see if there are markings.
