Well well well...I finally found a forum for Lee Loaders...
An Oregon guy here. I have been looking for lee loader forums and finally found one.
I am loading for Mossberg MVP 5.56 and Mossberg MVP 7.62 both in 16" barrel lengths (patrol models) and was hoping on taking my lee loaders out to the field in my ruck for "in the field loads"
Anyone have any pet loads for shorter barrel lengths in .223 or .308 they wouldn't mind sharing . I am specifically looking for scoop/powder combos

Welcome to the forum! Why don't you open a topic for each in the specific forum? It might help to include what bullets you plan on using.

Welcome aboard from the State of Jefferson, just south of you and over the state line.

As far as the load goes, I would say that listed with Varget for the bullet weight you will be shooting.

Re: Well well well...I finally found a forum for Lee Loaders
Welcome. For shorter barrel .223 IMR 8208 or CFE 223 with a 69 grain SMK n a 1-9 twist barrel. If you have one of the fast 1-7 barrels substitute a 75 SMK and the results should be good. Of course every rifle has its optimum load but I have found these combinations to work well. I am away from home at the moment and not able to check powder charges but they are mid range published loads.
