Scale Table

This is the only scale that can never get out of adjustment. Sensitive and readable to 1/20 grain.

Scale Table

Post by Mike 56 »

I have been using my Lee Scale for years when i first got it i had a hard time seeing the pointer i realized that if i lifted the scale up 3 1/2 inches i could see the pointer fine. I took a piece of 1x4 8 inches long and made four legs out of 3 1/2 inch carriage bolts with nuts and washers. I am able to level the table with my iphone and see the pointer fine. the scale is very accurate.

That is one of the reasons I have not used my Lee scale. so it stays packed away in its box and use the digital scale instead.

I am a two scale kind of guy i also have a RCBS 502 scale when i am setting up be dippers, powder measures or working out of a scale pan i like verify my my charges. I work with alot of small charges of fast pistol and shotgun powders. When i am weighting bullets or checking large rifle charges i double check charges with small digital scale. But i watch it like a hawk if the battery is getting weak or its in a bad mood it can go a little crazy.

That's a nifty setup Mike. I can see how that would help seeing the pointer and making sure it was level.

Great idea. Something like that would also get the scale pan up and a little closer to my trickler tube.

Scale Table

I built it because I had hard time looking down seeing the pointer after I started using it I found it a lot easer to remove the pan without bumping the scale.

Great work and innovation for sure this is one of those I wish I had thought of that even my Ohaus1010 beam scale could benefit from this setup. Thanks for sharing.

I have a (3) drawer plastic cabinet on my table. I cut a piece of wood to fit the top. The cabinet is about 12 inches high. That puts the scale just below eye level. I sure love it when I can see what im doing....
