Mold damage?
I was reading Modern Reloading last night and came across an interesting tidbit: according to Mr. Lee, his molds can be damaged by using the Lyman ladle to fill them. Anyone here have problems with this combination?

Read that also so didn't buy the Lyman ladle but have always wondered if that wasn't just hype to get people to buy his ladle.

Re: Mold damage?
OMG I've ruined some my Lee molds then.... several times! I guess I'll continue to ruin them from time to time. I have a MidSouth 6.5 mold (it's a Lee mold) that only give me very consistent weights when using that lyman dipper. With that specific mold I cast well over 600 bullets and it's still giving me excellent results. I should mention I did beagle that mold to work for my Carcano and Arisaka. But I do it with RD's 32ACP mold too with out noting any problems and hundred of casting.
I guess Lee's concern is about "pressure casting" by keeping the dipper nossle tight to the sprue plate during the fill?

Re: Mold damage?
If pressure casting is ruining molds then I need to stop ruining all mine as I just did that with two of them this afternoon...
