Am I the only one breaking these things?

I don't use the APP but, I will say that 9mm are the toughest to resize of
anything I load or have loaded.
The strongest, most "King Kong" press I own is the RCBS Summit single stage.
Now, we all know what an absolute tank that press is & it's still a nasty job
running 9mm. At present, about every 5th to 7th case gets some Lee case lube.
Used to be, every 10 to 12 ??? I suspect as age, arthritis & what ever else
increase, every case will get lube??? Not a big deal !!
Lube sure does smooth up sizing those pesky little 9's..

Hey...my second post after my hi y’all post.

I joined to learn new and fun things about my APP mainly after a member on another forum I frequent steered me this way.

So far I’ve just used my APP to decap about 2500 9mm cases, but I did it with a RCBS universal decapping die so I wouldn’t have the extra friction of sizing it in the same step. I hand prime after wet tumbling and size as the first step on the progressive. Works pretty well for me so far.

I'm doing 7.62X39 right now and it's taking way more pressure than 9X19.

When I was running Loadmaster Presses I finally got to the point of lubing all handgun cases with Hornady One Shot. A light spray from a 45 degree angle so a bit would hit the inside necks, let dry for 10 minutes or so then run them through the press. Not only made sizing easier but also the flaring of the case as well. Overall the press ran smoother and it seemed to help in the OAL of finished rounds. When I start reloading with my Classic cast turret I'll do the same. Especially if using wet tumbled squeaky clean brass.

edit: I should note that I was mostly running 9mm and 45acp through the press but I would do it with any brass today.

Not any more, unfortunately. They want the broken parts be sent in. For me as an overseas customer, that is in fact a complete nullification of their warranty policy. They even asked me to send in a part that was missing in a set [sic!], to get a replacement.

I also started lubing all cases. Use some LEE resizing lube, thin it down with water, and just tumble the cases in a box or bag with that stuff for a few seconds. Let dry. No need to remove, because it is wax based and solid after drying, it will not contaminate the powder.

I have a press I form 6.5×50 Japanese from 6.5CM and assorted other 308 family cases in 2 strokes but I find the Big Max to be kind of overkill for anything smaller than the Mauser family .

I can't speak to the press in question other than thought it was designed as a push press for carbide sizing . Seems like the first 5000 out were beta test tools .
