Dang, Jim, that's a rough road!

With three wives in my trail of life, #3, being Hispanic, would have made my end look like it was the hospital's fault :!: :? And, it might not be wise to pursue the subject of this topic, the "Low Recoil Rifle for 'Dear' "

You are on my prayer list, please keep us posted, and my hope is for better times ahead.

Being 10 months shy of 50 years, my wife is still married to her first husband. Not sure why, but I'm not about to question it. We got married, after my grandfather's insistence, on my grandparents' 50th anniversary, about six months earlier than "the plan". It didn't really matter since I was already bummed out over how liberal college "education" was after my freshman year in '71-'72 - I knew I couldn't take another 3-4 years of that. No regrets.

As for the "low recoil deer rifle", I'd probably pick the right .243 and right ammunition. Just my opinion.

The 243 Win was very popular here in South Texas back in the 70's through 80's. Haven't seen one in a hunter's hands since. I did find one round of spent brass on my new place in Victoria County, it looked 40 years old.
