Cast up some .490's

Post by Old Scribe »

Cast up some more .490 round balls this morning. I'm going to my first rendezvous of the season next weekend and I cast up enough for the rest of the summer.
I haven't been able to attend this particular doin's for the past few years and it should be a lot of fun.
I'm only taking my 50 cal. flinter as there will be plenty of various events for rifles.

Very nice to see everyone getting ready and getting out to shoot. How many of those pumpkins will you chunk at an event like this?

On the trail walks I might shoot 25 or so shots. Then there are the "specialty" shoots and fun targets where a person could shoot from 3 shots at a target to 20 shots at a timed event. All are a real hoot!
In my flintlock I cast pure lead. Most folks I know use pure lead.
