1st Hog with M94 Timber Scout 30-30 Win

Post by Ranch Dog »

Shot this fellow at 2:30 am under a feeder light. 70-yards, DRT. Using my C311-170-RF pushed with 30.6-grains of H4895 for 2080 FPS. The "smack" of that flat point hitting the hog was a loud as the shot!

About 150 lbs I would say. Had to do it at night as we are three digits now, nothing moving in the daytime.

I saw a video a while back with a suppressed AR in 6.8 . They had a stinker hog down an shot it with a deciblometer (SP) at the rifle and at the hog. 117 db at the hog 115 at the rifle . So the bullet impact was actually louder than the shot .

Good looking hog .
Just a Red neck,White boy, Blue blood American.....
