Agreed. I have made a seating stem for most of my regular bullets. It definitely helps as long as the tip area is relieved enough to prevent bottoming out.
I have seen several YouTube videos where Hornady has a micrometer seating die and sells several different sizes of seating stems for it. You might call Hordady and ask about the which stem they would suggest using with the bullet you are seating. If they have one it would certainly be easier than making your own. The Hornady micrometer also can be bought separately from the die if you already own a Hornady seating die. It is much cheaper that way.
