This morning I loaded 39 (it's all the small primer brass I had) rounds of .45ACP.

6.0 gr Bullseye under Hornady 185 gr XTP at 1.230" OAL on the LCT using Lee carbide dies, Lee FCD, Lee Auto Drum in once fired brass primed with Remington SPP.

Do you know if it's legal to send empty brass to the US? I got a bunch of these that I can't use in my progressive press.

I'm not sure. To be honest I forgot .45ACP had both and since I set up on smalls and was too stubborn to change the primer feed and because I just got a boat load of these bullets CHEAP I carried on. I'll give these to a close friend who doesn't reload and tell him I don't need the brass back. It's VERY likely this brass came from factory rounds HE shot and gave me the brass. I ruined about 4 cases in set up (don't ask) so it seems they came from a 50 round box he lost some from on first usage.

Thanks for the offer.

I don't know how many of you fellas know what a "Bald Hornet" is but we have bunches this year. Nasty critter, if they sting ya' more than once you'd probably be well served to head to the emergency room just in case even if you're not allergic. Will leave a "knot" on yer' head. Truthfully I've seen men knocked off their feet by one when hit in the forehead. (twice). Well me, being the idiot I am, load up 44mag cases with 5.5gr BE under a hard paper wad (primer box) that I cut with a leather "punch". Fill the case almost to the top (no idea of the weight, but it ain't much) of corn cob media (I think walnut might be better, and am thinking about rice, maybe) another paper wad, slight crimp and voila', Hornet killer. This serves more than one purpose, one, I get to shoot at moving targets (10 feet or less) and it's a hoot. +guns I do this out at the barn so the horses get used to gun fire (sorta  ) and I get to "blast" those little buggers. Now, this isn't really an effective way to "reduce" the population but it is just a bunch of fun. Oh, and I load them on my Forster CO-AX so I know they're accurate.....LOL......

Need to add, it absolutely will disseminate one of those yellow jacket "honeycomb" type nests at 10 feet or less. :D

We have seasonal cicada killer wasps I always used to call hornets that are nearly two inches in length. Scary as hell they are. They're actually wasps not hornets and bald hornets are seemingly the only non-wasp real hornets in Texas but I have not seen one. We also have what I grew up calling red wasps, yellow jackets, and the wussy "dirt dobber".
