45 colt brass

Post by f100cleveland »

looking for a place or person to buy some 45 colt brass from. I have bought brass for my 9mm and 38 special from gunbroker but 45's seem to go for alot more than I want to pay. Like to get once fired range brass at a decent prise. Whats everbody paying for it?

Thats not to bad a price but by the time you pay shipping. I'm looking for a deal on 300-500 once fired brass. I picked up 1000 9mm for 45 shipped and 300 38 special for 17 shipped all cleaned and polished so kinda looking for cheap cheap brass ;)

45 Colt, 454 Casull, and 45-70 seems hard to find used so I tend to buy direct from Starline as it when in stock is cheaper with free shipping. As for 9mm and 45 ACP I picked it up once fired from a number of sources in quantity on boards like this, Cast Boolits, High Road, etc. I find private people in some of these groups sell the most common brass cheap. However the 45 Colt isn't that common in many gun ranges that I've seen and I shoot 2 different indoor ranges often when you can pick up spent brass left behind.

Just ordered 500 Starline brass from Midway. Used a promo code and donated to NRA and it was still only $108 shipped. Its going for alot more on all the online auction sites new and used.

People blow thru 9mm and 38spl factory ammo cause it is so much cheaper they don't reload it. Hence it is lying around everywhere. Shooters of the 45 calibers ted to be a higher percentage of reloaders due to the cost of ammo.

If I could get 50 rounds of .45-70 for the price of 9mm, reloading would be harder to justify. I started reloading 45-70 and 45LC then migrated to the smaller calibers because I already had the equipment. Sorta like my wife justifying buying another purse because it was on sale.
