Please do not think I am bashing Lee by asking this!
As one of the major mold manufacturers you would think they would put more info on cast bullets in their manual.
I do not shoot jacketed at all and finding load data from any manual( Lee, Lyman, or otherwise)for Lee molds
is nearly non existant.
Yes I know I can extrapolate using jacketed data but it would be nice to have load data for Lee molds without wasting a couple of pounds of powder working them up!

That's not bashing Lee just pointing out one of the problems with his manual. Tried to find data for my new 452-200-RF and the Lee manual only has load data for a generic 200 grain boolit. That data worked but would have been nice to have data for that mold.

Doesn't the lyman cast hand books give more load data for diifferent molds. I always assumed but have yet to get into it. Someone here has to have the skinny as when I do start casting I will be in the same boat.

If it's anything like their 49th edition then its all Lyman molds and nothing else. I was going to order one but forgot when I placed my order, got to start making lists lol.

I've always thought that this was a project that Lee should take on, a "Modern Casting Handbook" that contains load data specific to their cataloged molds.

The Lyman cast boolit hand book has some data on a cartridge by load basis ,meaning I don't see a relationship as to why there are some none Lyman bullets listed. I have seen bullets by Lee,Seaco and RCBS in it but they are few. It could be that it is a situation where Lyman recognizes a more popular design than theirs, I think the 45-270K is listed but I'm not certain and I'm 1700 mi from my copy.

I would enjoy a manual like that. +guns

The new Lyman cast bullet manual does list quite a few LEE Precision molds.

I have found Lee's reloading manual to have a good "How To" section, but the load data is severely lacking. For cast bullet load data, the best around so far is Lyman's Cast Bullet Handbook 4th Edition (I prefer the 3rd Edition for it's info section, but the 4th for it's load data). My 4th Edition shows expanded data for more than Lyman's molds...
