90349 Lee 452-255-RF Broken Sprue Cutter Handle

This is not a complaint topic. I have sent Lee an email asking for information.

What I find weird is Lee does not show the sprue cutter or its handle as a replacement part.

While I await a response I am going to check the flatness and fine tune the fitment in the event they actually will send just the handle.

There's a guy on Castboolits that makes a steel plate and handle . I have one one one of mine . For whatever reason I don't have the leftover parts so I must have broken a lever . I'm in mid tinker with a misaligned maybe not resolvable 2nd hand mould if for some reason you can't get one and this mould doesn't work out I will have a spare .

I want to say K-D tool is a key word to search for ..... I haven't gone looking in some time .
He donated the plate and handle for awards dinner prizes for the NCBS I think about 5 years ago . So that might help the search too .

Just a bit slow dumping the bullets. When it is tough to open, I heat the mold blocks with a propane torch.

I was not casting with it. It was not hot. I just merely moved the handle over to the pin and it broke off.

I emailed Lee because I could not find the part (sprue cutter handle) on their website. Otherwise I would have just bought or paid shipping for it. Lee responded yesterday with the exact instructions on the site. Send in my part (the whole mold?) or order the part.

I told them as per my original request the part isn't readily found on their website and to please advise after reconsidering my request. We shall see.

Lee never responded to my email reply to their nonsensical response. I do however feel very blessed we know so many helpful people. I am happy to report I am back in business. Thanks to Lee Loader Forum.
