Alaskan version of Ranch Dogs reloading room. With art...

Post by AlaskanGuy »

After looking at RD’s reloading room “art” and prior pictures of the Sisteen Chapel of reloading rooms, I was motivated to show some images of a more rural type well used reloading room... so here is mine... I figured if I could figure out how to clean the gas port of my ruger 44 Carbine, I could figure out how to post a YouTube video for you guys... let the redneck bubba jokes commence..

I like the room and video, but now you shamed me into showing some pictures of an average day in my reloading room.

Yes RD!!!! Pics Pics Pics... we wanna see messy! Show us some work!!!

You know I am just teasing ya right.. your reloading room is completely awesome. Truly! I was just funnin.. that would be something I would love to have if I lived in the lower 48 somewhere. A place to get away from it all. Here where I live, every place you go on a day to day is “away from it all”

Blessings sir

You're not going to like this, but my room is only getting cleaner, with more organization and more unused stuff moving out! We have had some weird weather, a very short winter and early spring. When the green up starts, which it has, it have to get outside and get busy in the pasture. I also am coordinating some erosion control projects, and there are always contractor scheduling that takes time away from the fun stuff. Rain days drive me inside, but I have so many projects waiting for the range, I don't want to add to them as far as reloading goes, so that leaves me prepping brass or cleaning.

Waiting for the range are my:
  • 218 Bee ~ Marlin 1894CL
  • 300 Sav ~ Savage 99
  • 300 Sav ~ Remington 722
  • 32 Win Spl ~ Marlin 336SC
  • 303 British ~ SMLE Scout
  • 44 Mag ~ Win 94 Timber Scout
  • 38 Spl ~ Rossi 351
  • 9mm Mak ~ CZ82
On top of this, we have two groups of family coming for extended stays in March, kind of polishes off the month as far as shooting goes before the month even starts.
