Pro Auto Disk Double Disk Setup Problems

I received this as a PM, but I thought it would bring it to all (Sorry, Larry) as I haven't worked with the PAD for several years now and no longer own any.[hr]Good Morning Larry!

My question is about the Auto disk Pro
Simply, the disc holes & the drop hole do not line up completely?
There is always travel left in the arm that when manually worked, lines them up pretty good but even with the powder through expander screwed all the way in they do not line up?

A question in return, are you using a freshly sized case with every attempt to adjust it. You cannot send a case back through the Powder Through Expander Die that has not been resized or you will see the results that you are describing.

What am I missing???

The other think that the PTE die and PAD depend on is a uniform case length and those cases being very near to the SAAMI spec (trimmed with the Lee gauge).

I was thinking of "beveling" the back side of the drop hole in the measure so there is a little slide for the powder so the cavity will completely empty?

No, no don't do that. It ruin the dispenser.

Good morning Michael, yes I was using a freshly sized case each time.
I finally got the bright, but totally abstract idea of putting powder in
the powder measure, & guess what? I throws, with very few exceptions,
what my Lee Second says it will??? I don't see how, but it does.
It doesn't like Autocomp or Red Dot, but loves Tightgroup & HS6??
Michael, I'm just as happy as a pig in doo-doo with this measure &
turret. This little press is a rock, all steel except for the tool head,
no flex I can detect anywhere, & through the ram spent primer
disposal, even though I don't deprime on press. I'm impressed !!
Then Dan gave me a blank disc with Allen screws all around it to
drill my own charge holes?
Look out, progressive press, I'm on the way :)
What can I say, I'm a life long single stage guy, until now?
