350 Legend

Post by Ohio3Wheels »

Any body got one or contemplating getting one?

I have to applaud the gang at Winchester in coming up with a straight wall round that works through a MSR has reasonably low recoil and pretty decent accuracy.

I've thought about getting an Ohio legal upper for my rifle and prior to the Legend there was pretty much the 450 Bushmaster. I suspect the 350 Legend would be easier on both the pocketbook and the shoulder. I'll have to see, right now some non-shooting stuff is occupying most of the budget.

Seriously looking into getting the 350 Legend, not for hunting, simply because I WANT ONE!! On other forums this cartridge is being slammed as a "solution looking for a problem", i.e. no practical application except for those states that have stupid Deer or larger game regulations.
Again, I want one. DED45

Not sure why guys feel they have to tear down an offering. The more the merrier.

Reviews I've read make it an interesting cartridge for those of us in straight wall states. Range wise it had plenty of knock down for our woods type hunting. It may come close to the 35 Remington but in a straight wall. I have a 35 Remington, a 75 vintage JM Marlin 336. Unfortunately can't use it here in Ohio. I'm considering an upper for my MSR. One review said recoil was so light a follow up shot was quick and easy. As I said earlier easier on everything than the 450 Bushmaster.

In the restricted states, I wonder what they would think of the 35-30?

Here in Ohio that would be enough shoulder to disqualify it.
