now i know which wheelgun is next lol!

Post by alphalimafoxtrot »

guys,

i'm hacking away at the keyboard pathetically slowly, sorry - here's what i got hooked on watching this morning - hickock 45's video on the convertible 45lc/acp redhawk!

bet you can watch it on Full30 if you don't care for youtube also.

anyway, i've been hankering for another rossi carbine beyond .357 so i've pretty much set on a .45 colt rather than a .44 magnum. my reasons include: future .45 rounds to include a replacement for my long-missed Springfield 1911 and Glock 21; and always wanted a vintage 1917 Colt or S&W 1917 .45ACP/45 Colt wheelgun.

Also love the CAS shooting with the classic .45 colts and matching lever carbines.

ok i'm exhausted typing! be well and you all rock. +guns

Nice looking gun, but doesn't exactly look 'cowboy'

Are you allowed to use these in Cowboy Action?

Love the 1917 . The Colts shoots 250-265 gr well the S&W not so much more a 200-230 kind of girl .
I'm rebarreling a butchered S&W with a 6" 1955 to go with it's Schofield chambering . When done it should look a lot like a M&P heavy barrel M10 but bigger .
Just a Red neck,White boy, Blue blood American.....

That's no way CAS approved - I think you just misunderstood my ramble. Two different animals! Redhawk is modern and just a cool convertible cylinder gun to shoot both .45ACP as well as 45 Colt or 45LC.

Thanks for checking in!

There's a local range that does the CAS stuff, I've never done it myself. As a matter of fact the only wheel guns I own at the moment are some old top break pocket guns, one S&W No.3 and a Nagant with a 20 or so lb trigger

Well I do have a couple of cap and ball pistols......forgot about them.

The redhawk does look pretty slick.
