So far so good here in central NC, still lots of rain maybe around 12 to 18" and wind in the up 40 mph. range to come but we should be fine. Some power outages in the area this morning but I'm sure that will change as the days go by with all the wind and rain bringing down trees. It going to be around 48 hrs. before this thing clears out.
I haven't done anything much as to preparing other than taking in things and tying things down. I pretty much stay prepared as much as possible for about anything anyway.

The Kona (lee) side of the Big Island got just above average rain an nothing out of the ordinary for wind or surf. The town I grew up in Paauilo got hit hard with landslides and flooding. Hilo got seriously inundated with flooding.
The other natural disaster the eruption (which is also on the other side of the Island) finally fizzles out. It was never a problem for Kona but it did cause a huge amount of VOG, Vog is volcanic smog which really screws up the sunsets. So that was worst of it for my place on Kealakekua Bay. I may be the luckiest man on this site. I've got 5 kid, 6 grandkids who treat me like the best dad in the world. I wasn't but we did have a lot of good times. One of me kids is a flight attendant so I fly for free. One of my kids is a computer genius consultant who make more money than I ever dreamed of. Every one of my brats is successful in work and with their families. So I am a very happy lucky man.
Well there is one exception, my dog is so spoiled he become the alpha when I'm late going for walks, serving his dinner or I'm hogging to much of the couch or bed.
