New gun purchase?
Just a FWIW. Today I started the firearm purchase process which normally just 15-20 minutes here in Oregon. I was strolling in the local Big Box Store, where I have purchased guns in the past and spotted a Henry A7 on the rack, fondled it and and said "I'll take it". They have a new computerized NICS check application, but on two tablets it wasn't working so I filled out the normal paperwork and paid my $10. I expected to pay and leave in a half hour, but the nice clerk asked for my phone number, casually mentioning I was number 4,568th in line and they'll give me a call in a couple weeks! I thought I was back in CA! Yeah I know there is a record number of firearms sales but I was really surprised...

Re: New gun purchase?
The rules also say if you're neither cleared or denied in 3 days they have to give you what you paid for unless there is an additional state reg ....
Not that I'd push it but I do know of at least a few that have been released as such .
