Lee Pro 6000 press

Post by horseman »

Was just perusing the "normal" sites this morning looking for the Pro 6000 availability and lo and behold there are a few showing up in stock. Just the press on a couple sites at 239.00 and kits for 339.00 are the best prices I've seen. Midway shows at 369 but none in stock there. Didn't see any in the "hot" calibers, 9mm,45acp,380 but available in 357, 45 colt, 300BO, 223 (surprise) and a few others. I'm interested in one but can't justify at this time as most of my equipment is still packed up. I did open a couple of the totes that have my presses packed just to check that all is well with them as I have the stuff stored in my shop. So far so good.

So if anybody's looking, they're out there.

Hello there, first post.

I was able to get just the press only (didn't need the kit) and
picked one up from Midsouthshooters. Looks like that's out of
stock now too.

I picked up the shell plates and few other accessories from
Titan Reloading. Those are my usual go to for Lee products.

To be honest, I didn't need a progressive press, but I got caught
by the "shiny new object" syndrome, lol. Figured I would use it
when I load pistol rounds. My Classic Turret has worked just fine
since I started reloading in 2019. I just don't shoot enough to
justify loading that much/fast. We'll see how it goes.

On the plus side, I crunched the primer spring and bent it
and needed a replacement. As I usually do, I hopped on the
Lee site to get my round of "free" parts. Only to find out
they will no longer ship to my state due to "nexus tax laws".

So I called Lee and was hoping to get around that since there
is no tax on free parts. I spoke with a lovely lady who looked
at my order and shipped almost all the parts I had listed for
free AND paid the shipping! One of the reasons I love Lee
products and services.

More to come... ; )
