question about a turret press
I'm thinking about getting a turret press . Has any one here used a collet style bullet puller on one ? If so is it sturdy enough to do the job ? Thanks .

Re: question about a turret press
I have not used the collet style bullet puller but have used a turret press and think it should be no problem. The way the turret locks in it is very sturdy and should not cause any issues. Good luck. The Lee turret presses are very nice. I have the newer "Value Turret" and it is great.

Yep no problems for me when I did use the turret and the Hornady. I just found it faster to use Quinetics whack-a-mole which doesn't mess up cast bullets.

Re: question about a turret press
Just to try it I used the turret to resize 270 win to 8 mm Mauser in one step. No problem. I used the Lee sizing lube uncut. I wouldn't't make it a habit but it shows the strength and leverage of the press.

Thanks for the help . I forgot all about necking up brass on this press . I bump 270 brass up to 35 Whelen .
