Prepped 200 223 rem cases tonight. Plan on primers, powder and bullets tomorrow.

On Friday of last, I loaded up incremental loads for the first shooting with my Win M94 35/30-30 using the Lee C358-200-RF and H355. Bullets are a 60/40 linotype/wheelweights mix with a BHN of 21. Will work up to a 40.0K PSI load, 36.0-grains of H355 for about 2140 FPS.

For the first time in 3-4 years I bought some 357 jacketed bullets ... Nosler soft point JHP's to try in the R92 (and 3" SP101). Wasn't sure I wanted a 250 count box of jacketed bullets, then remembered I can also load them for the old M36 S&W - besides, they'll probably keep well without spoiling

Only loaded 20 to take out to shoot through the chrony, using data from the Nosler website. Oddly enough they didn't have load data for AA#9, but did have data for AA#7 and was listed as their most accurate powder and load at 11.2 gr. So the test was 11.2 gr of AA#7 (seemed to be a bit low compared to older data). Through the 16" R92 the five over the chrony averaged 1535, ES 41, SD 17 and ME 827 FP. Through the chrony I was able to shoot a 3" group even though I couldn't focus the iron sights.

Same load over the chrony through the little 3" SP101 averaged 1123 fps, ES 57, SD 26 and ME 443 fp. That seems to be pretty close to the estimated 30 fps per 1 inch of barrel. So, I would expect that if one could expect a linear calculation, a 20" barrel could have that load up to 1650 fps and ME close to 950 fp.

Since I can't get the wide meplat into the chamber using .357 brass, I'm still tinkering with loading out to the rear crimp groove in .38 spl brass. My next go round will be with A2400 per the loads RD sent me. I will say them big fat bullets have a tendency to be accurate. And they sure are purty

I guess I'm just lucky my SRC cycles 1.640".

Ran some work ups with a new mould and some that have been good at full bore but ive not tried low and slow .

With other bullets it has behaved itself walking the clean line in the 1895 G .
CIP ammo for the 45-70 is loaded to 31kpsi .
The lever gun sections don't seem to agree on data numbers .
The 4350 falls under to slow to get hurt class , it completely fills the case . Which would be an asset for paper patch in the tube magazine .

I always loaded my 1895G to 40.0K PSI. The 444P, 444 Marlin is loaded to 42.0K PSI and it is the same rifle but of course, it has a bit more metal surrounding chamber and groove given the cartridge dimensions. The Marlin 1895M is not a good comparison, however, it uses a different thread cut to leave more metal where it counts and the locking bolt has had some type of treatment that the other rifles haven't.

I load my Rossi Rio Grande 45-70 Govt to 35.0K PSI.

I loaded one cartridge last night, one for my M94 35-30 with the Speer 180-grain FN and 36.0-grain of H322. There was a boar hog in my yard and I wanted to kill it but didn't have any ammunition ready. The rifle's not really ready either

Based on results I's say ready enough for that particular job.
