Hello from Northern CA
I'm 52yrs old and haven't done much shooting since my parents sold their rural property when I was in college. A year or so ago a real nice indoor range was built less than a mile from my house and my dad bought my family of 5 a membership.
I had reloaded for 12ga and my 25/06 back in high school and college but hadn't touched a gun in over 25 yrs. Needing to justify the purchase of the membership, I found my old Keltec P11 9mm in the drawer that I never shot and headed to the range. Tho I'd never liked shooting a pistol in my youth, I loved it now! The keltec was hard to shoot more than 50 rounds or so due to the recoil so I rented a few guns and then purchased a Sig SP2022 in 9mm.
I purchased a Lee Value turret and ran a few thousand rounds threw it then found a deal on a LoadMaster. It had its usual quirks but I didn't want the primer system so it wasn't that big of an issue. I have it set up to load 9mm with 147 gr BBI ( Black Bullets International) moly coated bullets with N320 powder. I wash, tumble and then deprime with the value turret then use the Lee hand primer. To date, I've done about 4500 rounds using the case collator and hand placing the bullets.
My press is set up with powder drop, RCBS powder cop die, bullet feed die, seat and FCD. I just purchased a Noe powder through die that I'm having modified at the machine shop to work with the BBI's. I then have the Bulley bullet feed adapter to use the feed tubes. I hope to be able to run a good 450-500 rounds per hour using pre-primed brass. I get the Noe die back Monday and hope to have the entire assembly functional by the end of next week.
I'll get some pics and hopefully a video soon!

Welcome to the forum.
What part of northern California? I find that most folks draw a line about the bend in the Nv border . I'm 100 miles south of Reno and Tahoe. I host a spring weekend shoot so maybe it would work out for you.

Re: Hello from Northern CA
I live in Chico, 100 miles north of Sacto. I'm a high school administrator during the school year and have a 40' commercial fishing boat in Alaska for summer employment!
Right now, I'm just reloading for myself (I shoot about 1200 rounds a month). I plan on getting started with .223 for my AR and .308 for my MAS 49/56, which I've never shot.

Re: Hello from Northern CA
WoW 1200 a month that can get expensive real quick but reloading can cut that cost in half or more.
Summer in Alaska what more could a school administrator want.
