I appreciate your effort. The only caveat is that if my problem is due to a manufacturing error or just all of the tolerances stacking the wrong way, then your experience might not apply to my press. But hopefully that isn't the case.
You might want to look for that Grendel brass. That stuff is still expensive.

Yeah, I have them pick that up. I save it for the next person that shows up shooting the cartridge and they can have it. I do that with any brass that I don't use.klr wrote:You might want to look for that Grendel brass. That stuff is still expensive.
I haven't seen a 5.56 out here in probably five years. In the South Texas hunting world, it seems to really have dropped out of use.

Re: APP Success - Finally
Since the press does several things wrong I think we should try to figure out if there is one thing causing it all.

Re: APP Success - Finally
I sent pics and a detailed summary of my alignment issues. Andy at Lee told me that 223 cases need to be flared and that the 308 rod has enough chamfer to work without a flare - even though I mentioned that I had flared the 223 cases and sent a pic of the 308 rod actually caught on the 308 case mouth.

Well, in a follow up I'm being told that I'm running the threads loose and disengaged and if I run it tight there is no misalignment problem.
I hate when a company doesn't listen and instead just blames the customer.
I think I'll JB Weld the bushing in place and only use the crAPP for resizing pistol cases.
