RD - if that design works in your 300 Savage, pls post as I would be interested in getting one for mine. Most of my shots for deer will be well within 50 yds, so a cast bullet is perfect.

I've been shooting the rifle with jacketed bullets and so far I'm not impressed. In truth, just can't seem to get the time necessary to devote to the rifle with the fall farming in progress but I will get there.

Dedicating time to projects is always difficult. I feel your pain RD.

I shot my Rem 600 chambered in 35 Rem yesterday. It shot my TLC359-190-RF very well. Going to get it tuned up with around 42.3-grains of H335 for 2400 FPS and it will be ready to go. Saying this because the Savage has a bit of competition to deal with and some ground to catch up.
