What are these bullets going to be used for?
For my 308 Savage Axis with 10 grains of Unique. For some reason when I take the rifle to the range my grandson shows up and I never get to shoot it. Last time he did hit the target at 200 yards with this bullet and powder, I was shocked and when he did it a second time I knew it wasn't a fluke.

Started back in on my Savage 340 Scout rifle...

Almost out of the jacketed bullet handloads and moving into a pile of my TLC311-170-RFs sized to .310 for starters. These are soft bullets, like the 32-20 Win bullets, that didn't respond to the oven heating well so I will just go easy on the pressure behind them. Looking at using up what's left of a pound of W748 that has sat around for a decade and half. Probably 28.5 grains for starters, should give me about 1900 FPS at 27.5K PSI.

Well, not actually reloading, but a lot of research. I was recently gifted with an AK 74 in 5.45x39. I have reloaded for every centerfire gun I own and, of course wanted to reload for my new toy. Alas! no brass cases available. I was willing to try reloading some steel cases, but dies run about $150.00+. Lee requires fired cases, bullets and $150.00 to set up for a custom set, and $46 for each die set after that. Bullets .221" not commercially available so I figgered I could get a Lee sizing die in .221" and swage some .224" bullets down.

Hmmm. Mebbe not too good an idea to try to reload 5.45x39 ammo...

I'm with you, really not interested in shooting it if I can't reload it. That's why I'm not a 22 Rimfire guy.

Seems this one is just to crazy to pursue to me.

De-capped the 303 and 30-06 from yesterdays range trip and dumped them in the tumbler with the pins for a needed bath before proceeding.

I got a new to me 25 cal mould for the 257 Roberts it is a heavily altered 260-120 fp down to about 80 gr . We'll have to see. It should be a fine PB plinker for that rifle .

Last night primed a bunch of 40-65 cases.

Today the the Wizard, the Schmidt-Ruben and I unloaded a bunch of 45-70 (Black and white powders) 7.5x57 ans 243. It was a fun few hours and the rain held off.

I ground out a very rare for me 100 new brass .
The ol 222 needed some matching brass and something to send down range, so I paired the new Winchester brass up with a nice 22-055 NOE which is a copy of the RCBS of the same number but it weighs 63 gr . It gives me about and inch at 100 over 18.0 gr of H322 at about 2500 fps.
