Max-Bob, the compressor-less unit I'm looking at seem to have a ground attachment for the object being coated. Is this what your referring to in your above statement?

If HF PC powders sucks what do you recommend?

I have an old convection toaster oven I'm thinking of using in my cast area. Your opinion please. :?:  :D

Thanks in advance for any and all opinions.

May I inquire as to what's wrong with HF PC powders? It not that I doubt your statement, just wondering what the differences are.

they are not very fine grained, good quality powders are very fluffy and none of the HF powders are fluffy
the red works ok i have a jug of yellow that is a pain and i here the white doesnt work at all
now if your going to use the gun then they work out
but for shake and bake just use better powder
here is a place that sells great powders by the 1/2lb and a 1/2lb is ALOT of bullets

The "Electric Portable Powder Coating Gun System, No Air Compressor Needed" arrived today. I had gone to Goodwill and picked up set up an old computer table with a shelf which was serving as the casting bench under the backyard veranda. This table is plenty large enough for serve as the PC bench as well. Keeping those activities outside in our beautiful Arizona weather. 85 degrees today was the high! Humidity 16%

Well this compressorless PC gun did and excellent job! I'm very happy with it. It is not at all complicated and very simple to set up and use. I had an old toaster oven with a 30 minute timer and a temp gauge and it finished the magic. Out of the 100 .358 wad cutters I'd set up 70 came out perfect. The other 20 I'd managed to tip over when rotating the tray to PC the opposite side. I'd have done more but grandpa duties required that I babysit the most beautiful 6 month old princess in the whole world. :D

I'll post pictures if anyone is interested. The HF powder I had purchased a long time ago isn't the bright pretty red as other pictures I've seen but the finish was text book smooth and almost shiny. 8-)
