I know how we all love the Lee deburr/chamfer tool and that cute little pocket scraper .
I wanted a new chamfer tool and with the purchase of a bunch crimped brass I needed a tool for those pockets too.
I have put off the Lyman VLD because it was so pricey for a fat grip on a deburr and chamfer tool .
While at Sheels the RCBS tool was $25 , which has been the going rate for some time. On the rack not far away was a Lyman VLD kit . It was marked $24.95 came with LG and SM pocket reamers and scrapers. The handle is a neat knurled aluminum 2 piece affair that doubles as a storage case for all 6 parts and the about 1" handle is comfortable in use . How used ? I ran about 400 pieces of 223 and 100 6.8 in a marathon set . The case hand gave out way before tool hand ......twice ......
I went with the manual tool because I'm a cheap skate and shooting cast I probably won't have to revisit this brass again .
It's a comfy tool and priced right .

Re: Chamfer tool
I have one of those Lyman tools with inside and outside deburring tools. I use it a lot for decrimping mil. spec. brass and it just depends on what I grab first; the Lyman tool or my 60 degree countersink as to which I use the most (I chuck them both in a hand drill). I process my Garand ammo with loving care, so I generally deburr the ID and OD of the case mouths with the Lyman tool...

Re: Chamfer tool
Had my eye on that tool for some time now so when I have some extra cash this needs to be mine.

Re: Chamfer tool
I hadn't seen this one before, but it looks like something I gotta have.
