The Redding is a good PM but it's not case activated like the Auto Disk or the Auto Drum. So it more work on a progressive or a turret.
Very true I'm a single stage user still.

Re: Lee Auto Drum Adjustment Trick
Actually RD there is (was) a system from Lee that allowed the PPM to be used on the Loadmaster that is case activated. I have one. Works fine. I don't use it though. Came with a used LM I bought. With the new measures that Lee has introduced it has become maybe a bit redundant though.Ranch Dog wrote:Not a direct answer to your question but the PPM can be used on a Rifle Charging or Powder Through Expander die with the GunGuides Perfect Adapter & Sleeve if needed. Of course, it isn't die/press actuated & still must be manipulated by hand.

Can you upload a picture of that?

It's called the Lee Universal Charging Die. It's not in production anymore.

Re: Lee Auto Drum Adjustment Trick
That's the one daBoone..there is also a plastic piece that replaces the charge handle on the PPM that the rod and chain attach to that operates the case activation. It doesn't show in the picture but would assume it would be with the "kit". I only have the mid size brass "sleeve" with mine.

Re: Lee Auto Drum Adjustment Trick
Yeah, I remember that now. I bought one on eBay from Titan. They show them out of stock through their store.
With spare PPMs, this might be just the ticket rather than the Auto Disk for my 7.62x39 reloading on the Load Master when I get to it.

LOL, I just "tried" to buy one from Titan, guy said they just sold the last one. BUT, I did find another one so bought it. Actually the only reason I picked up another one was because I didn't have all three "inserts" with the one I have. Going to call Lee tomorrow and see if those little items are available. If they are I'll have two of them complete. As I only "need" one, and if anyone is interested, I may have an extra one.

There's one for sale on the Lee Reloading and Casting Equipment Group on Facebook for $30. It just came up for sale today.

Is the Redding PM casting outlet threaded internally like RCBS and Hornady?akuser47 wrote:by daboone » 21 Dec 2015 19

Re: Lee Auto Drum Adjustment Trick
The thing is, that when, or if, you can find a Universal Charging Die online for use with the PPM, that part alone is going to cost you almost as much as a new Auto-Drum charger, which will do what the PPM will do & more.
