Re: Ranch Dog is retired !!!!
62 is the year of my favorite Chevy truck I owned for almost 20 years. It was a work horse all go and no show. I was manufactured in January '53. 61 until the dreaded new year then 62.

Re: Ranch Dog is retired !!!!
I sure would have liked to have seen my "regular" retirement
roll around? But, my body let loose at 51 & I was "forced" out
of work. Now, 6 years later, I'm better with it but, I still struggle
with it & fight against it, but there is really nothing to fight???
So now, my everyday job is regaining enjoyment in anything
& everything, & kicking my self in the hind parts to get up &
get moving... Hey, it's no one's fault but mine?? I didn't have
skydive & get into a wreck, I didn't have to race & get into a wreck,
& I didn't have to ride a Harley & get in a wreck??? I hate wrecks!!!
That being said, RD, when are we gonna see that entire
takeoff/flight video so I can get my pilot/flying fix????? LOL

Dude, it is slow in coming! I actually haven't thought about it or Southwest a bit since that final flight as so much has been going on here at the place.larryw wrote:That being said, RD, when are we gonna see that entire

Re: Ranch Dog is retired !!!!
Michael, I fully understand, & sure hope I didn't aggravate you in any way,
was just trying to poke a little fun at 'ya.& yes I have this pilot thing
always wanted to be one, amazes me, but eyes prevented it???
But I do know the feeling.
I turned wrenches all my life, I was actually born in my dad's shop.
When I finally took a promotion to a desk job with Caterpillar in 2000,
I never gave wrenching another thought? I can't tell you when
I lost the "Love" of mechanics, but it was something that I truly once
loved to do, then suddenly realized what a bad thing I now felt for
the profession/trade/craft. Don't know if it was unhappy or not, but
something close? Like I said, I know the feeling.
